Leigh is a senior psychologist, with extensive experience working with individuals and groups, in clinical practice. She is passionate about helping people facilitate meaningful change, personal growth and enhance wellbeing. Leigh works with clients experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, adjustment and eating disorders, grief, loss and family relationship concerns, managing chronic ill health, injury, and pain. She takes a person-centred approach to therapy, utilising cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, compassion-focused, schema and narrative therapy.

In addition to her bachelor’s degree in dance and post-graduate qualifications in psychology, Leigh holds a Master of Science in Health Psychology and a Master of Professional Psychology. She has worked in health psychology research, contributing to the field, with several published journal articles.

Leigh is the clinical leader for Rest in Essence Newcastle, guiding the whole team to deliver the best possible care to all clients.
