Fees & Rebates
Rest in Essence is a cash-free practice. Please provide card details and payments will be deducted as appropriate at the time of or after your appointment(s) or EFTPOS facility available.
If you have a valid GP Referral and Mental Health Care Plan you may be entitled to a Medicare rebate.

Medicare
If you have been referred by your GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician, Medicare rebates are available. You can access up to 10 therapy sessions per calendar year under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and may be entitled to a Medicare rebate. Your GP can either email the MHTP through to Rest in Essence, or you can bring a copy to your first appointment.
Full payment is made at the end of each appointment, and (if eligible) we can process your Medicare rebate on the spot. Please ensure that you have your Medicare card with you. Any paid gap fees count towards your families Medicare Safety Net.
Clinical Psychologist:
- 50-60 minute therapy session $250 (eligible rebate $141.85)
Psychologist:
- 50-60 minute therapy session $205 (eligible rebate $96.65)
Private Referring Clients
You can access our service without a referral as a private client and pay the full fee without a rebate. Contact us via email or phone to book your first appointment.
Private Health Insurance
If you have a private health fund, full payment of session costs will need to be made at the end of each appointment and you will be provided with a receipt which you can use to claim through your private health insurance. Any eligible rebate from your Health Fund will be subject to your personal cover and fund entitlements. Contact your Health fund for further information.
Workers Compensation
At Rest in Essence, we are accredited Workers Compensation providers. Referrals for treatment under workers compensation can come from either the rehabilitation provider, nominated treating doctor, insurer or employer. Once the claim has been approved, the number of sessions are determined on a case-by-case basis and the cost is payable by your Workers Compensation Insurer.
Cancellation Policy
You will receive a reminder text message 2 days prior to your appointment. We ask for at least 24hrs notice of any cancelled appointments or a fee may be charged.
